In the Parking Lot role-playing experience, players take the roles of the Dreamers: beings who create worlds while dreaming. Their goal is to create a world that they all finally like and want to live in, but it doesn’t always go smoothly. Usually, the Dreamers erase the universe they have created to start over from scratch. This time, a strange mistake has occurred, the process has stuck, and everything has disappeared except for a random parking lot. The Dreamers will gather there to fix it, but it seems that the parking lot is unavoidable, and a new world will have to be created around this parking lot and blend it organically with everything else, as if it had always been there.
The larp playfully explores collective world-building and challenges of co-creation, the stubborn presence of the mundane, and how (and if) we can imagine alternative lives and societies.

Parking Lot is the first live role-playing experience in the Dreamwalk series, developed in 2025 with the support and production of Sickhouse, a playful cultural space in Enschede. All Dreamwalk experiences were played in liminal public places across Enschede in the Netherlands.
The entire Dreamwalks series has been turned into a collection of zines, each containing full facilitator instructions for hosting the experiences. The zines were designed by Pablo San Gregorio and published in a limited edition by Sickhouse. You can download them all at Sickhouse’s itch.
